Setting a boundary with family is harder than any workplace conversation - because the stakes are higher, the history is deeper, and the unspoken rules are stronger. Most people either avoid the conversation entirely and let resentment build, or they explode in frustration and damage the relationship. The coach has guided people through this specific challenge and knows that the middle path works. The framework is Love → Limit → Hold. Affirm the relationship first - because the boundary exists to protect it. State the limit directly - without apologizing or over-explaining. Then hold - because the first time you set a boundary, they will test it. Your only job is to repeat the limit calmly.
