Story & Questions: Handle Being Interrupted

Featuring: Priya Mehta

Being talked over does not mean you should stop talking. Learn the Pause → Reclaim → Continue framework to hold the floor with grace - without aggression or retreat.

Scenario Backstory

Being interrupted is one of the most common and frustrating communication experiences - especially for women and junior professionals. The coach has helped people go from silenced to respected. The framework: pause (a beat of silence signals confidence), reclaim (calmly take the floor back), continue (pick up where you left off). In this session the coach roleplays a chronic interrupter, a dismissive senior leader, and a well-meaning but overeager colleague.
